With an open plan living and dining area whose French doors open onto a pretty and private courtyard garden, the cottage makes a perfect retreat in the East Anglian countryside.

You’ll find and enjoy a rich variety of country pubs and restaurants in the surrounding villages.  Framlingham Castle, Saxtead Windmill, Mid Suffolk Light Railway and the Museum of East Anglian Life are all within 10 miles of the cottage, while a visit to the county town of Ipswich requires just a 15-minute drive. 

Innumerable country walks and cycling routes can be found in the area - accessible directly from The Gig House.

Easy day trips can include Suffolk’s Heritage Coast , RSPB Minsmere, Orford Ness, Snape Maltings' shops and Concert Hall, Constable Country, the historic Wool Towns of Lavenham and Long Melford, popular Felixstowe, and the beaches of Walberswick and Southwold. Stonham Barns Leisure and Retail complex is based on the outskirts of the village, providing tourist attractions and shops, a small village store, and a Post Office for your convenience.  Golf and Fishing are also available nearby.
